This is a great quality rake but do not be confused. It has a 42 inch HANDLE. That is not to be confused with the approx 8 inch width of the rake itself. :) Returning the two I bought.

We generally use plastic leaf rakes when cleaning up the alpaca manure in our paddocks. While plastic leaf rakes work well for areas with no grass, weeds or hay, they clog up very quickly when vegetation is present and it is difficult to get the vegetation out. The True Temper Clog-Free Poly Shrub Rake turned out to be the perfect solution. It is more rigid than than the leaf rake and very sturdy. When vegetation or manure are wet and do build up on the tines, a tap of the rake head on the lip of the muck bucket cleans the rake easily. We couldn't find this product or anything remotely like it locally and were happy to find it at Amazon for a reasonable price.

Like the larger model, you do not have to stop every minute to remove leaves that get stuck in the rake. This rake works well for flower gardens and other places where a large leaf rake won't fit.
