Just a note: All 3 of the Wolf_Garten hand tools that I bought on Amazon came with a detachable handle anyway for free. You may not this unless you want it for other WG tools you already have. This handle is about 2 inches longer than the one that you get for free, which doesn't really change the way I would use it for my hand tools. Perhaps the extra inches would matter for larger tool heads, but I would not thinks so.

I love all my Wolf- Garten garden tools. It is so durable and is cheaper than made in china crap Lowes sells. Thanks to amazon.com introducing me to Wolf-Garten.

This was a replacement for an old handle I abused to death. I do not take very good care of my garden tools. I am very neglectful. When I stumble into the house for a drink of water...I may not get back to my gardening for a week or more. When I'm done...I'm done! That means my tools get left in the sun and dirt. They get rained on and the nooks and crannies get filled with mud. That is what happened to my last handle...I had to whallop the heck out of it to retrieve the little shovel end to put on a different handle...because it was packed with claycrete that had baked in the sun for months. So, if you take care of your tools...these will probably last forever. If you are abusive and neglectful....you might only get a decade or two out of them. I'm adding even more tools to my collection...and highly recommend them!
