Until I tried this type of elbow joint I was always using the standard fixed elbow joints which when trying to configure your system can sometimes be a pain. With the swivel elbow I had alot more leeway in how I laid things out and it allowed me to circumvent small problem areas where the fixed elbows were not working so good as they had no flexibility in how I laid them out.
