This is a very unique little keychain item. By no means is it a replacement for a good corkscrew opener, but it will work in a pinch.It is rather small, so some effort is needed to actually use it. Having someone else hold the wine bottle really helps.I am taking off one star for the packaging and the price. There is no reason to stick a relatively cheap item like this into a very hard to cut open plastic package. I would have much rather saved a few cents. Which brings me to the price. This is a by no means a premium quality, or hard to make item. The price is a lot higher than it needs to be, at ~$10.

Love this, and i never have to worry about finding a corkscrew again. Yes it takes a bit of muscle, and yes it will probably break after 50 or so uses, but its not like i use it very often. If you've ever taken a bottle of wine on a picnic and realized you dont have a corkscrew, this is the product for you.

Cool compact convenient product that is a neat conversation starter - why do you have a metal pig tail on your key chain? Hand/arm strength is a must to pull the cork out; placing the wine bottle between your thighs helps. It works best with real cork corks versus the synthetic plastic ones. Overall a great product to attach to a wine bottle when giving a gift, or to be considered for a stocking stuffer at Christmas. Cheers!
