By BosKat
Bought this rake for my 17 month old since he likes helping us rake leaves in the yard. It is a good size for him and seems sturdy. I'm a bit concerned that it is metal rather than plastic but I understand that it was designed with an older child in mind (we of course watch him very closely when he's using it). Overall, it is what we expected.

I bought two of these so my four year old and 2.5 year old could participate more fully in the leaf-raking ritual. They LOVE their rakes! They run outside to use them when I tell them it's raking time, and the rakes keep them busy and out of trouble and within my sight while I do most of the raking. Plus, the rakes really do work. My kids like to make their own leaf pile to jump in while I take care of the rest of the yard. The edges of the rake are a little sharp, so if your child is too young, or waves the rake around near faces, they could get hurt, but mine have kept their rakes on the ground after rake orientation.

My grandson loves the rake. He's only 14 months old but he likes to carry long things, so it's perfect for when we play outside. I think it will last for years because it's wooden and metal and very sturdy.
