Made in the US = Good. Tempered Steel = Good. It's a shovel, and it'll be put to good use. Hopefully the fact that the metal portion is riveted into place,means it'll stay on the handle forever. When I got mine, it had a few nicks....but maybe that's because they tested it before shipping it out. Who cares, I'm going to put my fair share of nicks in the thing anyway! Rubber grip on the top of the handle. Posted some pictures, hopefully they'll help.
