I only recently started using this product, FFOF (fox farm ocean forest) is simply too pricey but dont get me wrong, that soil is phenonimal and i am in no way degrading or belittling such an amazing product. But, with hard times comes cost effecient processes.I did a side by side trial using this item and FFOF feeding my sunshine every feeding and feeding ffof every 3 waterings since its filled with nutrients right out of the bagIts not the best testing due to many variables/options that can be created but i been in this for awhile so im pretty close when it comes to definite results. In the end with no stress what so ever, the sunshine pretty much outperformed the FFOF, and i have a very simple reason for this. I use organic nutrients, all organic with everything. So they are very... hmmmm... hot i guess is the best terminology. So the FFoF had to adjust after the initial nutes were gone, depending on what i was feeding them with. So that phase was a good 2-4 days to overcome and bounce back, pretty long time when you have everything down to the minute. The sunshine mix, right from the start, picked up and never looked back. The sunshine was a bit brighter than fox farm, reason being i didnt beat them up and just wanted to lightly feed to see the overall product w/o an overdose or defeciency.Overall this is a LIGHT / FAST DRAINING / NUTRIENT CONTROLLED soil that will let you be the wizard when it comes to feeding time. Real real cheap as well, im spending 1/3 for twice as much for what i was getting with FFoF... I do not buy online since i only pay $35.00 for this bale compared to 80.00 online (shipping kills these kind of products). If you would like any more info or anything for that matter, dont hesitate, this is my passion and i love spreading the green thumb knowledge.
