I purchased this bypass pruner as a replacement for one that had been given to me by my parents and was probably 40 years old. I knew I wanted the exact same one because I was so pleased with the old one, which had lost its safety catch and spring. The tool arrived quickly and in great shape, and I am very happy with it; it cuts everything from flower stems to pinky-sized branches neatly and cleanly, and is very comfortable to hold, even for a lefty like me.

I'm an avid gardener & do a lot of light pruning. I own several types of well known hand pruners. I was intrigued by these Bond pruners when I saw the very good reviews, the design (similar to Felco), and of course, the price (I paid <$10). Any doubts I had while awaiting their arrival have disappeared- they have a quality feel, work very well for their purpose, and fit comfortably in my hand. I actually prefer the locking mechanism over the Felco's because its larger tab is easier to operate with only one hand or while wearing gloves. These pruners are quite sharp and make a nice surgical cut. They spring open smoothly upon release. Very happy with them thus far.
