I got this rake months ago and was really happy about the quality. The kids have not had many chances to use it yet, but it does seem sturdy. My problem with it is that there was a upc sticker on the handle near the bottom of the rake and one day I happened to notice a little crack peaking out from under the sticker, so I took the sticker off and saw a decent size crack. It's hard to tell if it's only in the paint or if it's actually deeper in the wood.I don't know if it was intentional or if it was a coincidence that the sticker was over a crack, but it just seemed dishonest.

I picked this rake mostly because it is metal and eligible for Prime. I am pleased with the quality--solid wood handle (I didn't see any cracks like the other review) and metal head. The head at the bottom measures maybe 10 inches, which is a little narrower than I was hoping, but I'm not sure why I had any hopes at all for a rake to be used by a toddler. It is a little tall for my two-year-old, maybe 3.5 to 4 feet, but he loves it and has figured out how to move leaves with it, though not always in the direction I instruct. We quickly lost the little rope tied to the hole in the end of the handle, which was probably designed for hanging up the rake, but it's easy to store leaning against a wall.
