I love this axe!Its great for throwing and chopping.The only thing I think is weird is that its actually made by Fiskers not gerber and you can get it orange and without the gerber logo on it for ten bucks cheaper at wally-world.Its handle is hallow but its not weak and believe me I have now its been hit so many times and it will not break.Pros.Razer sharp.Durable.Cons.None.I highly recommend this product!

seems to be holding up fairly well, was originally nervous with the composite handle because i tend to be rough with my outdoor gear... edge retention leaves a little to be desired which is why it is at a four star.. grip and weight are both awesome...i would suggest this to others

Like the axe both for opening overnighted ice and chopping/splitting wood. Felled some 4-5" dry standing dead then split after sawing into 12-14" lengths. No problem as a full arc brings surprising energy to the cut face . Decent steel is worth keeping out of the dirt . Cool carrying case .
