Works great until it breaks

I owned this for 6 months and it worked incredibly well cutting through branches up to 1 1/2" thick. But then, when attemtping to cut a 1" thick branch recently, the blade snapped clean off, rendering the tool useless. There isn't a replacement blade to be bought so you are stuck with having to shop for a new lopper tool. The only other problem with the ingenius design is that you have to spread the handle nearly 180 degrees apart to open up the jaws of the cutting end enough to get around thicker branches, so it is challenging inside a tree with lots of other branches around or in tighter spaces where you don't have room to spread the tool's handles that far apart. But when you do have room, the PowerGear design allows you to cut through even hardwood with ease. I just need something that will last longer so I'll be looking elsewhere for my next bypass lopper.

Only Very Light Work

Fiskars , I'm sure is a good tool company. However these Loppers are fine for small trimming. The problem starts when the orange pieces holding the blades inside the handle break and come out. Then the blade parts won't stay in the handle and it becomes extremly irritating. Taping , bolting etc. does not help. Then your off looking for new loppers.

Great solution for one hand flower cutting

My wife lost use of her right hand due to a stroke but she loves to cut and arrange flowers. I bought these pruners so she can cut flowers and then place them in a basket only using her left hand. They work great unless it is a very heavy flower (eg. gladiola or sunflower).

Although everything looks and works great in the beginning, if the Y is in the sun on a hot day, the pressure in the line increases and this blows one of the lines off the Y and water runs until the open faucet is seen and shut off. This situation can lead to high wated bills.

My plants have never been happier, assuming plants have feelings similar to people, which if they do we are terrible people

I'm not much of a gardener but had started a small hydroponic garden for fresh cooking herbs and tried adding in a strawberry plant. It lived but never produced any fruit. I consulted a plant psychic and was told they were very unhappy because their chakra's were misaligned. After surrounding them with expensive crystals with no results I remembered I believe in Science and decided to increase the nutrient levels in the water supply. Fortunately the 1 quart size of Botanicare CNS17 Hydro Formula Grow Supplement conveniently facilitated this without having to worry about running out quickly. Lo and behold, 2 weeks later I've got buds starting. On a side note, I wouldn't recommend drinking it, even with vodka.

Best pruners ever

I worked in the nursery business from 1980-1992, and have been addicted to gardening since 1979. I have enough garden tools to open a small store, and I'm here to tell you these are some of the best pruners I've ever owned. Better than Fiskars, Corona, and even the over-rated Felco line. I first found them at a local garden center and tried the small pruners. They really look great, feel great, and, most importantly, work great. First thing I did was buy some more compact pruners (especially since they're $5.00 cheaper via Amazon), and then compact shears, then bypass pruners (good but not quite large enough), and then loppers. Fabulous products, as is everything from Dramm. Great colors, too.

Exceptional quality.

I am very picky with my pruners, as I do a lot of propagation by cuttings, and I like my cuts to be precise and clean. I ordered 3 of these pruners, because the price is very reasonable, and I am extremely happy with them. All three have the smooth action, with precisely matched blades that I enjoy, in a very fine quality tool. Thank you Amazon, for carrying this item.

Perfect every day pruner

Stainless steel pruners are hard to come by and when I found these I ordered them as a back up for another set. Once they arrived they became my favorites. They fit my hand perfectly. The only drawback was the little spring popped out and I couldn't find it, but the company sent me a new one. I'll be ordering more of them.
