I have used Sunleaves guano (the Indonesian Bat Guano) before and it was a good organic source of Phosphorus for organic gardening. The problem I had was with the white bags like the one in this picture of the Peruvian above, because it got holes in it and poured everywhere-very messy. My package of the Peruvian guano arrived in a very timely fashion, and as a previous reviewer mentioned the bags are now plastic and resealable. This is a much better form of packaging, and also as stated the N-P-K ratio is 12-11-2 which is fine. This guano comes in pellets instead of a fine powder, which overall makes this a much cleaner packaging of the product. I purchased this because after extensive reading I'm going to try to make all my organic nutrients from only three sources 1.)Peruvian guano- provides both water soluble and water insoluble N and P. This is very important especially outdoors because fertilizer runoff contributes to algal blooms and dead zones which are not good for anybody. 2.) Kelp (from Ascophyllum Nodosum) which I decided to order Maxicrop Original Soluble Powder 1-0-4: 10.7 Ounce due to good product reviews and seemingly good quality control, sustainable harvesting of kelp etc. Kelp provides the K and also numerous chelated micronutrients and beneficial plant growth regulators. 3.)Vermicompost- This one I do at home, as can anyone and it is fun as well as a good use for food waste otherwise destined for the garbage.My only issue is that I went with the Sunleaves brand because I know their products were OMRI certified (Organic Materials Review Institute). OMRI is a good national certification program for organic nutrients. The guano I just received does not have the OMRI listing on the bag and I then went to the Sunleaves website to confirm this. I am going to contact them and ask about this, but just keep this in mind if you are trying to use only OMRI certified organic products. Again though, overall this product is inexpensive and high quality.

The shipping is great, came within less than a week. The bag is actually black and resealable. The NPK %s are different though..instead of 10-10-1 it was 12-11-2. I'm not complaining though because its more bang for the $!
