This is an amazing product! I have hundreds of veggie seeds to sow, and starter pots were going to cost me a fortune. I bought this on the off chance it would be decent enough to cut down on the expense. Wow was I surprised! The pot maker is solid wood, not finished but polished smooth. The little pots are the perfect size and hold together extremely well. It says to use only newsprint, but I have tried using scrap copy paper, and it works great as well. I cut a letter sized sheet of paper in half lengthwise and used it with great success. The only downside to this method is that is a bit taller than ideal, which is why they stress cutting the paper to the correct size.This will pay for itself 20 times over just this month. I'm very happy.

I was a little disappointed with this item. I found that the pots could be quite difficult to remove and the bottoms tended to open up when planting in them. I think I will try with less paper and hope the bottom folds hold better.

I found it easy to assemble lots of pots in little time and they've held-up well during this season's seed-starting adventure. One trick to suggest: after pressing the pot, give a little twist on the handle to help release the formed pot from the mold.
