After looking all over the web for reviews decided to get me one of these. Out of the original packaging, it was a blunt. There wasn't even an edge set on the blade. However, the saw worked great out of the box.After spending some time with the grinder, and then with a sharpening system, I now have a razor sharp edge.I've cleaned out much brush around my house, and taken it backpacking/camping once, over all it is a fine knife. it's about half the weight of a hatchet and a much more reasonable size for what you are going to want to cut for a night in the woods with a manageable fire.I was concerned when some of the reviews I came across pointed out that it did not have a full tang, but I wasn't able to find any one who claimed to have broken the handle to make that an issue. While I agree a full tang would be preferable for the price point, you can only expect so much. The handle seems solid, and I've no fear hitting something full swing.Many people in reviews also complained that it was made in China. While this is true, the quality is still very respectable, and again, I've no concerns about my safety swinging into a branch as hard as I can.over all it's a great tool, and the most fun I've had trimming back over grown bushes and such since I was a kid.

This machete is a great size, small and useful for smaller jobs. The saw on the back rocks, quite sharp and will get through the larger branches that you'd spend forever hacking on with the blade. The handle is comfortable. The Sheath is nice, well made and i doubt it will fall apart easily. If you need a Machete, get this one.

I purchased this for a camping trip I had coming up and didn't really know what to expect but I will have to say I was very Impressed the handle is very comfortable and the blade is very strong. The only one thing I could recommend is that you sharpen the blade because to me it seemed a little dull when new but that is just a opinion, it may be fine for you. I would highly recommend this !!
