At the time I ordered this product there were just two reviews. One loved it. One hated it. The reviewer that loved it made a more compelling appeal so I took a chance as this was the cheapest twine I could find.I was just interested in providing support for my staked tomatoes. In the past I had used those round wire cages. No need for twine there. The glowing reviewer said that this twine was fairly soft and did not damage plant branches. I would agree as long as you don't wrap it around the stalks. It is perfect for support though.As for the strength of the twine, I could not break it. I was actually hoping I could break it instead of cut it, but I must be a weakling. And to top it all off, this was the only green twine I ran across so I don't really see it when I look out at the tomato plants. I am very pleased with this purchase and will buy more if I run out.

This garden twine is perfect for training plants to a trellis or to stakes for support. It is nice and soft so that it does not damage the bark like the plastic twine can.I use it to tie my Japanese Maples to bamboo stakes. The green color is perfect.

When I bought this twine the reviews were tied good vs bad, so I decided to try it. It works great for me. It's strong enough that I can't break it with my bare hands. So far I have used it for tying tomato plants to poles; tying up bundles of sticks, brush, and yard waste for disposal; and bundling broken-down boxes for recycling. I don't really need it to be green, but it's a nice color that blends with the tomato plants. I would buy this twine again.
