I use these heat mats every year when I start my flower and vegetable seeds in the greenhouse. I was new to gardening when I purchased the first mat, but quickly realized it worked well for my needs. This is a great mat if you want something to take care of a smaller needs garden. It certainly lives up to it's reputation of being a work horse. It raises the soil temperature and assists in keeping that temperature at a constant point to enhance the efforts of germination by the seeds. I've used mine when the ambient temperature of the greenhouse was just at freezing and still had very good results. I've spilled water on it and liquid fertilizer and the mats stand up readily. Just a wipe with a dry cloth and all is well. I'd recommend this product to anyone who is looking to start their own seeds vs buying plant starts at the local nursery or box store.
