I was looking for an economical solution to run HPS in my existing metal halide fixtures.At first the bulb would start to warm up and just as it was to full brightness would shut down. After a cool down it would start the cycle again.I knew it was unlikely to be the bulb and more likely my ballast since my fixtures are second hand high bay lights. If you're handy it's no problem to replace the capacitor in a magnetic ballast for $15-$20. I got my replacement capacitors from Amazon as well.After this simple fix this conversion bulb is working excellently for me.

this is perfect to turn your mh fixtures to hps. Cheap too, other conversion bulbs are a lot more exspensive.
