These pots are great for preventing root-binding in most large-sized perennials, annuals, house plants, even some vegetables. The obvious down side to these pots is that you need a rather large drip pan to contain the water dripping from the bottom and sides.But, your plants will thank you. No more roots circling around and around the bottom. With Smart Pots, the roots are able to do their job more effectively by evenly spreading throughout the soil. A majority of plant health problems revolve around poor soil drainage, so with good soil, your patio or house plants should thrive.You should be careful moving these around because the soft sides can cause the soil to fracture and could damage delicate root structures. The soil dries out a lot faster as well. All in all though, a great choice for your plants' health.
